PET is a semi-crystalline polyester produced by the polymerization of ethylene glycol (EG) and terephthalic acid (PTA). Its lightweight nature, high tensile strength, and excellent gas barrier properties make it ideal for beverage bottles, food packaging, thermoformed trays, and polyester fibers. Bottle-grade PET ensures transparency and pressure resistance in carbonated beverage packaging, while film-grade PET provides excellent dimensional stability for printing, lamination, and insulation films. Fiber-grade PET is widely used in the textile industry for yarns, nonwoven fabrics, and industrial filaments.
